TV wine guru Olly Smith is hosting four online ‘webisodes’ (web episodes) this month to give viewers a taste of what they can expect in wine bar and restaurant The Glass House on P&O Cruises’ new ship Azura.
During the webisodes, which start tomorrow at 7pm, Smith will be tasting one red and one white wine, all priced between £6 and £899.
Details of the varieties he will be tasting are on the P&O Cruises website.
Each week, there will be a chance for viewers to win a case of wine. The grand finale prize is a trip for two, with Smith, to the Settesoli vineyard in Sicily to see how the house blend for Azura has been created.
The Glass House is a new style of venue for P&O Cruises – passengers will be able to join in wine tastings and learn how to match wine with food.
P&O Cruises managing director Carol Marlow said the search for an apprentice to host the tastings has already started as Smith, who stars in TV’s Saturday Kitchen, will only be on Azura four times a year.
Watch the webisodes every Thursday at 7pm throughout September.
