Prestige Holidays has expanded its Canada team to meet a surge in demand for the destination.
The specialist operator said 2018 has been a surge in “bumper bookings” to Canada and that there was “an upward trend in business” for travel to the destination in 2019.
Sarah Cook joins in the newly-created role of office manager. Her appointment will allow for Prestige’s 10-strong sales team to spend more time helping agents with marketing, hosting fam trips, visiting agencies and creating trade incentives. Another appointment to the team is “imminent”, Prestige said.
Denise Hunn, Prestige Holidays’ Canada tour operations director, said: “Our Canada sales really are booming, so Sarah’s arrival was much needed. She is handling the day-to-day running of the office which, in turn, enables me to spend more time focusing on marketing, agency visits, fam trips and trade initiatives.”
This year, Prestige’s Canada team launched a new standalone website and produced its biggest programme to date in a 144-page brochure. For 2019, the team is planning several more travel agent fams and a series of agent roadshows.
