The 2012 Olympic Games and preparing businesses for the economic upturn will be the focus of UKinbound’s 2010 Convention.
The convention, which will be held in York between February 3 and 5 next year, is aimed at decision-makers and senior managers in all sectors of the inbound tourism industry. The event will include seminars on: fam trips; ticketing; accommodation; and transport strategies for the 2012 Olympic Games; and a business-to-business workshop.
Confirmed speakers include former director general of the CBI and minister of state for UK trade and investment Lord Digby Jones; minister for culture creative industries and tourism Margaret Hodge; lastminute.com UK and Ireland managing director Patrick Hoffstetter; Barceló UK Hotels chief executive Charles Prew; SportsMark managing director Walter Dobrowolski; and London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games head of accommodation Donna Taylor.
To mark the launch of the UKinbound Convention 2010, there will be a drinks reception from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Tuesday November 10, on the Yorkshire stand (UK1 3200) at WTM.
