WTM: UKinbound to discuss 2010 Games at next year’s convention

The 2012 Olympic Games and preparing businesses for the economic upturn will be the focus of UKinbound’s 2010 Convention.

The convention, which will be held in York between February 3 and 5 next year, is aimed at decision-makers and senior managers in all sectors of the inbound tourism industry. The event will include seminars on: fam trips; ticketing; accommodation; and transport strategies for the 2012 Olympic Games; and a business-to-business workshop.

Confirmed speakers include former director general of the CBI and minister of state for UK trade and investment Lord Digby Jones; minister for culture creative industries and tourism Margaret Hodge; UK and Ireland managing director Patrick Hoffstetter; Barceló UK Hotels chief executive Charles Prew; SportsMark managing director Walter Dobrowolski; and London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games head of accommodation Donna Taylor.

To mark the launch of the UKinbound Convention 2010, there will be a drinks reception from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Tuesday November 10, on the Yorkshire stand (UK1 3200) at WTM.
