MORE than 100 Debonair staff are expected to keep their jobs after Southend-based aircraft leasing firm Flightline agreed to save 25% of the low-cost carrier’s operation (Travel Weekly October 4).
The jobs are at Debonair’s Luton base and are believed to involve Flightline taking on some of the grounded carrier’s routes.
German carrier European Air Express has taken over the Luton-Dusseldorf route and is currently reviewing a relaunch for Madrid and Barcelona services.
Jersey European Airways and British Regional Airlines are also considering taking over parts of Debonair.
