Heavy snow is causing flight delays and cancellations across the UK today. Manchester airport has suspended flights until noon and there are currently no flights out of Liverpool John Lennon airport. A spokesman said Liverpool John Lennon should reopen around 10.30am. EasyJet has cancelled eight flights out of Liverpool and six out of Manchester. Leeds Bradford, Gatwick, Belfast and Derry are open but flights are subject to delay, Air passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling. The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for snow and widespread icy roads in the Midlands and northeast England today and tomorrow. Up to four inches of snow is expected in some parts of the country. The Met Office is also warning of heavy snow for southwest England tommorrow.
