A Flybe flight made an emergency landing at Manchester airport this morning after cabin crew reported smelling smoke. The BE321 flight was travelling from Birmingham to Aberdeen when it was diverted to Manchester as a precautionary measure. Once on the ground passengers disembarked and were taken to the terminal. A Manchester airport spokeswoman has confirmed one of its two runways was closed for around 15 minutes while the aircraft made its landing. The passengers have since been booked on the next available flight to Aberdeen while the airline is awaiting further details on the incident on the original flight.
