Goldenjoy adds Bali to programme

GOLDENJOY has added Bali to its 2000 Worldwide programme with a choice of five hotels on the island.

Product manager Matthew Shaw said the programme, valid from January to March 2001, is aimed mostly at mid-to-upmarket couples aged 30-50 years old.

Package prices start at £549 per person for five nights at the Sanur Beach hotel.

“Bali is a little bit more expensive than other Asian destinations because flights are longer and resort prices are higher than in Malaysia and Thailand,” said Shaw.

The operator is considering expanding its Asia programme further in 2001 to include Lombok as well as Bali.

“We will keep the programme quite small for a year or so and then open it out and include other destinations,” added Shaw.

The operator has also introduced a new liveaboard in Thailand with prices from £1,300 per person for seven nights on board, two nights in Phuket and two in Bangkok.
