Bookings have opened for Aqua Expeditions’ two new ships – Aqua Blu and Aqua Nera.
Aqua Blu (pictured) will be the luxury boutique line’s’ first coastal ship when it comes into service on November 16, 2019, and Aqua Nera will operate on the Peruvian Amazon when it launches next year.
Aqua Blu will service three destinations on seven-night coastal cruise itineraries in Indonesia: Raja Ampat; Bali to Komodo National Park; and Ambon and Spice Islands.
The 15-suite ship’s debut programme also features four 12 night sailings – called Limited Cross-Destination Voyages. Each one will sail a different route.
Rates for seven and 12-night Aqua Blu itineraries range from US$7,525 and US$16,475 per person.
A sundeck, indoor lounge and bar, outdoor whirlpool, spa, diving, snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddle boards will all be available onboard.
The ship is also fitted with two tender boats for sea excursions.
New-build river cruise boat Aqua Nera (pictured) will be designed and constructed in Vietnam and will begin revenue sailings on the Peruvian Amazon on August 1, 2020.
Designers plan to use sustainably-sourced wood as the main interior material for the vessel’s 20 river-facing suites.
The dark wood theme will also be seen in the ship’s restaurant, lounge and spa. The ship will also feature a plunge pool and gym.
Aqua Nera will offer three, four and seven-night sailings, ranging from US$4,125 to US$10,325 per person.
Both ships’ sailings can be booked from May 7.
The line announced last month that it would be doubling its fleet by 2020 but has waited until this week to reveal further details.
