Maersk boosts flexibility with two extra flights to Denmark


MAERSK Air has added extra flights from London to Copenhagen to enable business travellers to arrive in the Danish capital earlier in the morning and leave later in the evening.



Currently, Maersk’s earliest departure from the UKis 10.20am, arriving in Copenhagen at 1.10pm, and the last return flight is at 4.40pm, arriving at Gatwick at 5.45pm.



From November 1, Maersk will operate an extra daily Monday-Friday service from the UK, leaving Gatwick at 6.40am, arriving in Copenhagen at 9.45am.



The new service leaves Copenhagen at 7.10pm and arrives at Gatwick at 8.05pm.



The extra flights bring Maersk Air’s UK-Copenhagen service to 18 weekly flights. The route extends to Kristiansand in southern Norway with six flights weekly.



Maersk Air general manager UKand Ireland Barry Prior said:”The additional services add almost 6hrs to the working day for business travellers to Copenhagen.”



The airline has launched special business-class day-return fares to coincide with the launch of the new service. The ticket is £405, a saving of 14% on the carrier’s normal business tariff of £470.
