BRITTANY Ferries has opened reservations for gite holidays in 2000 to give clients the chance to book their favourite property ahead of the brochure launch this autumn.
The ferry operator said many holidaymakers return to the same gite year after year, having made friends with the owner of the property.
Clients keen to take advantage of the offer must pay a deposit of £30 per person, but reservations will qualify for any early-booking offers launched with the gite programme.
Brittany Ferries took over the marketing of the Gites de France programme in 1996 and said sales have risen 230% in that time, to 19,000 a year.
