The Cyprus TouristOrganisation is running a series of eight travel agent roadshows across the UK. The roadshows kick off at Heathrow on October 4, then goes to Stratford on October 5; East Midlands on October 6; Bristol on October 7, Gatwick onOctober 11; Glasgow on October 11; Manchester on October 13 and Newcastle on October 14. Touroperators, hoteliers and



representatives from the CTOwill be present.



n brittany ferries offers getaway fares



Brittany Ferries is offering 24-hour Getaway Excursion Fares to France this autumn from £19.95 per person. The fare includes return ferry crossing on a choice of day or overnight sailings with a club-class reclining seat and isavailable from September 20. Passengers can depart from Poole, Portsmouth or Plymouth and arrive in St Malo, Roscoff, Cherbourg or Caen.

Royal Olympic Cruises has appointed Vic Howlett to the newly created position of head of UK operations. Howlett was previously operations director at Celebrity Cruises, beforeit was bought by Royal Caribbean International. He will oversee the UKteam, led by sales andmarketing directorChristine Hennessy. He said he would increase the sales and reservations team at Royal Olympic’sLondon office.

The Singapore Tourism Board has appointed a new regional director basedin London. Nicholas Kao Meng Seng will be incharge of marketing thedestination in the UK as well as Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Belgiumand Luxembourg.
