GOING PLACES has up to 200 vacancies on its training programme for mature people, launched earlier this year.
Aimed at those aged 30 years’ plus, the year-long course is specifically for people who want to return to work or change career. Positions are available in Going Places shops across the country.
Recruitment adviser Gail Walshe said that by launching the in-house scheme, the retailer was trying to break away from the perception that careers in travel were only for the young.
“We are planning to train 300 young people this year but in addition we have 200 places on the training scheme for more mature people,” she said.
