Holiday Autos has launched a new online training guide for travel agents with the chance to win up to £2,000 worth of prizes.

The guide, which goes live on March 28 at, aims to help agents understand the benefits of selling car hire and give them more confidence to sell the product as an add-on. It also explains the rewards to selling car hire and how it relates to clients.

Once agents have completed the training they can download and print off a certificate. Those who complete the training by April 30 will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win up to £2,000 worth of prizes, including an iPad 2 and high-street gift vouchers worth up to £1,500.

Holiday Autos head of trade sales Sandra Downs said: “We have overhauled our training programme to give the guide a quirky design, making it engaging and easy to use.”

The training is divided into sections including why to sell the product, how to sell it, what to check during the sales process, how to overcome clients’ objections, essential information to explain to clients, understanding the meaning of definitions, a guide to pre-paid extras and quick test questions.

It also includes key destinations offered worldwide, with downloadable training information inlcuding pricing options and frequently asked questions.
