Hotelplan Group’s new Holiday Home Division is expanding into Scotland with a range of accommodation around Loch Ness.
The move coincides with the lifting of Scottish quarantine regulations for visitors from 57 countries.
A new HHD partner portal for agent bookings has been introduced, combining its Interhome and Interchalet brands’ 50,000 holiday homes.
The agent portal includes quick filter features to pet-friendly holiday homes, accessible properties and luxury and unique villas; as well as easy access to commission reports and marketing materials.
Agents and operators will automatically be migrated to the new partner portal in the coming weeks.
The Scottish properties include loch-side cottages, large homes and apartments with availability for this summer.
HHD now features self-catering properties across 31 countries and has operated in the UK as both an outbound and inbound operator for a number of years.
Commercial manager Waine said: “We’re increasing new product in the Loch Ness region on a weekly basis and we’re also looking to expand around Fort William, the Cairngorms and actively exploring opportunities throughout the rest of the UK too.
“In 2020, we have pivoted from being a strong inbound player in the UK holiday home market, to being a predominantly domestic holidays provider.
“Traditionally, the majority of guests staying in our 2,000 UK holiday homes are from Germany, France and Switzerland, however this year 54% of our guests are Brits and we expect this strong domestic trend to continue throughout the rest of 2020.”
He added: “This is the latest phase in a project that the team has been working on for the last 18 months or so.
“Firstly, introducing the new HHD brand to the market; repositioning Interhome as a preferred sales partner in the UK and across Europe, with Interchalet focusing on Germany and German-speaking source markets.
“Now, we are ready to make a mark, by expanding our product portfolio and local footprint.
“We already operate over 200 local in-resort offices across mainland Europe and we’re excited to bring this personal service to the UK for the first time.”
