GILL Airways has appointed Superbreak Mini Holidays founder Gordon Miller as its new chairman. He takes over from Bill Price, who becomes deputy chairman, in thenon-executive position. The airline’s majority owner, venture capital consortium 3i, said it chose Miller due to his travel sector experience. He helped in the sale of Superbreak to Eurocamp before the latter changed its name to Holidaybreak. Miller is also a former director of Crystal International Travel Group. His main role at Gill will be to build up the carrier’s UK franchise operations for Air France and the switch to jet aircraft from turboprops.
