BASS WINS PRAGUE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT
Bass Hotels and Resorts has won the contract to manage the 364-room Hotel Inter-Continental Praha in Prague following the acquisition of the property by hotel investment company SHCI and real estate company GIC. The hotel had been franchised by Inter-Continental for the past 25 years.

STAKIS BEGINS GDS CODE SWITCH
Following the purchase of Stakis hotels by Hilton, all Stakis properties will switch GDS code from SK to HL during this month. The first switch came for the Stakis London last Monday when it was rebranded the Hilton London Metropole. The remaining 47 hotels will all be rebranded by September 27.
HYATT AZERBAIJAN HOTEL UP AND RUNNING
Hyatt International has opened its second property in Baku, Azerbaijan, which is to be named the Park Hyatt Baku. The 159-room and suite hotel is 10mins from the city centre and exhibition complex and 30mins from Baku International Airport.
CHOICE OPENS CLARION PROPERTY IN NEW YORK
Choice Hotels has opened one of its Clarion-branded hotels in New York. The 267-roomboutique-style hotel is to be called The Clarion Hotel Fifth Avenue and is on East 40th Street in the heart of the city.
