BRITISHAirways and BAA have unveiled their co-sponsored zone in the Millennium Dome.
The Home Planet area features a ride through the future to bring people face-to-face with the elements. The journey is in a British Spaceways capsule from the ‘Intergalatwick’ spaceport. BA and BAA have each contributed £6m to the zone, which is one of 15 in the £202.3m centrepiece of the dome.
The airline is also one of three partners sponsoring the £30m London Eye millennium ferris wheel opposite the Houses of Parliament. BA chief executive Bob Ayling said he expected the Dome and millennium attractions to boost London numbers by 1.2m in 2000 to 28m.
