BAA is boosting the number of passengers allowed to use the international departure lounge at Gatwick’s South Terminal.
From tomorrow, customers flying on domestic routes can use the facility.
The lounge, which has showers and a baby-changing area, has a superior selection of restaurants, tax-free shopsand retailers than the domestic lounge facility.
The widening of the scheme follows a successful trial with Jersey and Guernsey passengers this summer.
Gatwick project manager Helen Johnson said: “The feedback from the Jersey and Guernsey trial has been very positive with 87% of leisure passengers and 79% of business passengers preferring the new route.”
Clients en route to Ireland can continue to use the lounge, but have to enter via the same desks as Guernsey, Jersey, Belfast City and Newcastle passengers.
