Etihad Airways has launched charter and special flight services.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline is offering “fully-customisable” flights for business and leisure passengers with cargo options included.
Alex Featherstone, Etihad Airways’ vice president, network planning and alliances, said: “While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact the commercial aviation industry, charter flights provide a convenient alternative to travel, providing customers with the flexibility to choose the departure time, destination and routing.”
In 2020, Etihad has flown more than 500 charters, including transporting more than 3.8 million tons of cargo for the government of Abu Dhabi. It also charters flights for sports teams, including Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City.
Charters are subject to its Etihad Wellness health and safety programme and include Etihad’s global Covid-19 insurance.
