Jet2.com and Jet2holidays extend suspension to March 25

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have extended the suspension of their flights and holidays until March 25.

A spokesperson for the leisure operator said: “Due to the ongoing uncertainty and travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to extend the suspension of flights and holidays up to and including March 25, 2021.

“Where customers yet to travel are affected by any programme changes, our approach to providing smooth and speedy refunds has been widely praised by independent travel agents, and we will be automatically cancelling affected bookings with a relevant refund.”

After the government announced the current lockdown last week, Jet2 and Jet2holidays extended the suspension of winter sun flights to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Turkey until February 12.

The spokesperson added: “Since the onset of the pandemic, we have always respected that customers should receive their money back if we have not provided their flight or holiday.

“We know that customers and independent travel agents will remember this approach, and the way we have looked after them will play an important part in our long-term strategy.

“There is a lot of demand for our award-winning flights and holidays.

“For customers due to travel from March 26 onwards, we will provide our independent travel agency partners with further updates update closer to the time as appropriate.”
