Appointments: Must be made in advance, punctuality is important.


Attire for business meetings: men should wear a suit and tie, women a two-piece suit or equivalent and hosiery.


Etiquette: It is customary to shake hands on meeting and taking leave.


Language: Business is conducted in Spanish, many executives speak French or English.


Invitations: The time for evening meals is usually quite late, around 9pm-10pm. Gratuities in bars and restaurants are around 5% to 10%.
