A ferry link has beenre-established between Gibraltar and Moroccofollowing talks between the country’s government and operator Sun Coast Line Ltd. The new service, at £30 return in summer, will operate daily with extra sailings onFriday and Sunday witha travel time of 75mins.

The man responsible for the controversial BritishAirways loans scheme is quitting the airline. Charles Weiser, chief executive of BA’s global financialservices department, leaves next month foran Australian financialservices firm. He will be replaced by BA financialservices manager JimLaw.



n Sair group reports poor first half results



Swissair owner SAirGroup blamed flight restrictions due to the Kosovo crisis and a downward pressure on air fares for poor 1999 interim results. In the six months to June 30, airlines in SAirGroup, including Swissair and Crossair, revealed operating profits of £34.4m, down from £77.5m in the same period last year.
