Lincolnshire Co-op to join Worldchoice

Ten Lincolnshire Co-operative travel agencies are joining Worldchoice when the society’s current arrangements with The Co-operative Group come to an end.

The travel branches of the independent co-operative group have been re-branded to strengthen local links, with new ‘Lincolnshire Co-operative Travel’ signage going up in branches in Lincolnshire and Newark.

Travel group manager Wayne Dennett said: “Lincolnshire Co-operative is known throughout its trading area for recycling its profits within the local community and providing a quality service through our range of outlets.

“We have a fantastic team who are proud to be independent and this is something that Worldchoice can help us develop with our members.

“We have had a wonderful working relationship during our 11 years with the Co-operative Group and more recently, Thomas Cook.

“This relationship is something that we are keen to continue developing over the coming years with our sales through the tour operator.”

Gary Lewis, group managing director of The Travel Network Group said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Lincolnshire Co-op team to Worldchoice. They are a great fit with our membership profile and will be a real boost to our geographical reach in the Midlands.

“Whilst Lincolnshire Co-op’s core business is selling package holidays and cruise, they are keen to harness our new dynamic packaging system, Honeycomb, as a tool to better meet the needs of their customers and also take more control of their margins.”
