Club 18-30 film on release next year

Club 18-30 reps and clients are expected to be used as extras in a feature film based on the youth operator which will be shown in UK cinemas next year.

Ibiza’s nightclubbing capital of San Antonio is the setting for the fictional comedy, Club 18-30 – The Movie, which will focus on a group of young people going on holiday together.

Script writers are currently in resort interviewing Club 18-30 reps and gathering other material for the film which was the brainchild of Club’s advertising agency Saatchi and Saatchi. Filming will begin at the end of August.

Club 18-30 general manager Andy Tidy, who is acting as a consultant for the project, said he had briefed the two writers on the company but had no control over the content.

Selected agents are expected to be invited to previews of the film before it is released in UKcinemas early next year. Saatchi’s management supervisor James Griffiths said the film will be independently financed and produced on a budget of $4m-$6m, similar to the award-winning British film The Full Monty.
