P&O CRUISES is believed to be considering an offer to buy Festival Cruises for £500m.
Greece-based Festival owns four ships. It has strong distribution in European countries, especially France.
A P&O spokeswoman refused to comment and Festival was unavailable as Travel Weekly went to press.
