GOLDEN Tulip Hotels has set its sights on three and four-star hotels in Germany, France and Belgium in a bid to lift its property portfolio from 360 to 700 by 2002.
The consortium already has links with France and Belgium and is targeting Germany because it believes hoteliers will be attracted by the technology used for its reservation system. Golden Tulip is owned by system, reservation and distribution network provider REZsolutions. Golden Tulip director of marketing Ruth Dawson said: “Germany is a good market to tap because they are interested in technology and are less hesitant about seeing its benefits than other countries.”
