Flybe reported to have secured slots at London City

Flybe is reported to have bid for and won slots to start services from London City airport.

Newquay is one of a number of routes thought to be under consideration from the Docklands airport, according to a report in the Cornish Guardian.

According to Airport Co-ordination Limited, Flybe may operate schedules which will see flights departing from Newquay airport to London City Airport at 6:30am, 2:45pm, and 6:35pm from September 7.

However, there has been no confirmation on whether the airline intends to use the new route.

A Flybe spokesman told the newspaper: “Flybe is in discussions with a number of airports regarding the potential development of new bases, in line with its strategy communicated in November 2013 and during its recent firm placing and open offer.

“No final decisions have been made as yet. Flybe will issue further announcements as appropriate.”
