Geronimo Inns offers free mobile charging in Heathrow airport pubs

Geronimo Inns is aiming to help Heathrow travellers affected by tighter security measures by offering chargers in its airport pubs.

Passengers may now be asked to turn on battery powered devices by security staff, which means that those with no power might not be permitted to fly.

To allow guests to charge their devices, the Five Tuns pub in Terminal 5, the Three Bells in Terminal 3 and The Tin Goose in Terminal 1 will have access to complimentary chargers, along with access to power sockets so that they can use their own.

Geronimo managing director Ed Turner said: “Airports are hectic and sometimes quite busy places, our philosophy at Geronimo Inns is to create a home away from home be it around the corner from where you live, at Westfield or at Heathrow.

“Today increased security is a fact of life, so we say make the most of that time; charge up your phone and recharge your own batteries with great food, brilliant beers and seriously good wine.”

Hossey Saghri, operations manager for the Heathrow sites, added: “Our Heathrow pubs are haven for the traveller, we’ve great big Chesterfield sofas to kick back in, there is sport on the TV, or lose yourself in a good book whilst enjoying a drink or simply watch the world go by.”
