TRAVEL 2/Travel 4 is distributing its holidays via viewdata for the first time.
The long-haul tour operator and flight consolidator has signed a deal with viewdata supplier Imminus and travel agents can now access inventory though the Fastraknetwork.
The operator has also signed up to use Imminus’ new Internet-style viewdata Fastrak IP which offers high-speed access and modem-sharing capabilities. This will be used as the reliance on Internet booking becomes more widespread.
Travel 2/Travel 4 director David Gibbs said the move followed demand from travel agents to make bookings via their pcs.
“Fastrak IP positions us nicely for the future and is a seamless move to a more widely used Internet-based system,” he said.
