WTM 2014: A2B reinforces commitment to agents with service pledge

A set of industry promises was made by transfer specialist A2B to the travel trade at a party at WTM last night where is it is exhibiting for the first time.

The company reinforced its commitment to agents with a guarantee and set of pledges.

This follows a claimed 51% year-on-year growth in international business so far in 2014 with expansion into more countries as well as a number of new agreements with OTAs, travel agents and wholesalers.

The company is forecasting additional growth in 2015 with more product choice in all destinations, competitive prices and a focus on expansion outside core European resorts and cities.

Online sales of transfers by travel companies have grown extensively over the last few years as the extra revenue earning opportunity is regonised, with a proven 75% or more conversion ratio using A2B transfers in the flight and hotel booking path.

UK sales manager Emma Ryan said: “Travel agents recognise the important part that transfer sales play in their profit generation.”

Chief executive Renaldo Scheepers said: “We want to ensure our clients and agents feel confident every time they book a transfer with us.

“We recognise that they are putting their reputation in our hands and this guarantee is our promise that we will always look after their clients supplying a reliable and efficient transfer service of the highest quality.”

He added: “Travel agents in the UK are so important for our business and we’ve gained a lot by talking to them here this week.

“As we expand and grow our international business too, this WTM has also provided plenty of opportunities to meet existing agents from across the world as well as some great leads for new partnerships for 2015 and beyond.”
