Florida has emerged as the number one holiday hotspot for 2015 in a consumer poll by Loveholidays.com.
Cornwall makes third place behind Paris with neighbour Devon in fifth position behind New York which comes in fourth.
The top ten is completed by Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona and Berlin, according to the poll of 2,000 people.
Spain is named as the most popular country to visit this year, followed by the US, France, Turkey, Greece, Italy, the UK, Portugal, Australia and Cyprus.
Loveholidays.com e-commerce director Matthew Lawson said: “We understand it can be quite hard when you want to decide where to go on holiday which is why we commissioned this survey and were completely surprised with some of the results we received.
“Comparing to the results of the 2014 sales, 2015 shows a complete shake up in the popularity of destinations with Florida knocking Sharm el Sheikh off the top spot and the nice surprise of British holidays making a comeback.”
He added: “It gives us a good indication to what holidays are going to be popular just by seeing where the public like to visit; it also helps us plan, to give customers the best information and advice about these places along with gearing them up for a great 2015 holiday.”
