Nine staff members from World Travel Holdings UK will take on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
The group will climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in a 24-hour period, walking a total of 23 miles and driving 462 miles.
Last year, staff from WTH raised £3,000 after taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, which business solutions director Alex Dixon described as “pretty gruelling”.

However, this year, they have upped the difficulty by taking on the national challenge, and the agency is hoping to raise £4,000 for the hospice, which provides respite and end of life care to children and young people in the northwest.
“We have a longstanding relationship with Derian House and were keen to find a challenge that would engage our staff but provide an opportunity to continue to raise much-needed funds for Derian House,” said Dixon.
“Last year’s Yorkshire Three Peaks sponsored challenge was pretty gruelling and raised £3,000, but we wanted to raise the bar and push for more on both fronts.
“This time it’s the National Three Peaks Challenge which will see nine members of staff climb and travel between the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.”
WTH managing director Alison Earnshaw added: “The Yorkshire Three Peaks was hard enough so this one is going to be a real challenge, but we like a challenge and I’ve no doubt the team will rise to the occasion in terms of the actual walking and climbing as well as the fundraising for our closest charity partner, Derian House.”
