CELEBRITY Cruises has unveiled the maiden programme of its new 91,000-tonne ship Millennium, which is due to be launched on June 17 next year.
The five-star ship’s first voyage will be a 14-night Russia and Baltic itinerary out of Amsterdam, including stops at Stockholm, St Petersburg, Rostock and Copenhagen.
Millennium will cruise the same route, departing alternate Saturdays, until the start of September. It will then carry out a 13-night repositioning cruise, named Highlights of Western Europe, in order to reach Genoa. From there, the vessel will run two 10-night cruises to ports in Spain, France and Italy, departing September 22 and October 13.
Greece and Italy will also be covered with two 11-night cruises out of Genoa, departing on October 2 and 23.
Millennium then undertakes a 12-night transatlantic crossing from Genoa to New York on November 3, before sailing to the Caribbean for the winter.
On board Millennium, 80% of the cabins will have an ocean view, and 56% of these will have a balcony.
It is the first of four 1,950-passenger ships scheduled to join the Celebrity fleet over the next three years.
