Boston’s UK tourist office hosted its first travel trade awards at the Landmark Hotel in London earlier this month. Winners included Bridge the World for best new tour operator, Osprey Holidays for the best sales growth and Virgin Atlantic for best airline.
n keys county lays down evacuation plan
The Monroe County Tourist Development Council in Florida Keys has drawn up plans to evacuate visitors in the event of a hurricane. The programme has set up communication links to accommodation and transport operators and local media to give advance warning of evacuation.
