Peter Deer steps down from Fred Olsen Cruise Lines

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines chief financial officer Peter Deer has stepped down after two decades with the company.

Deer joined the business in 2004 and has worked in various roles in that time, including as managing director. 

He led the company through the Covid-19 pandemic and helpded secure the purchase of the ships Bolette and Borealis.

“Peter will spend the summer enjoying some quality time with his family before seeking new opportunities,” a company statement said.

Chief executive Samantha Stimpson said: “I am grateful to Pete for his significant contribution to the business over his 20-year tenure, and specifically the guidance he has offered since I joined the business in February.

“I wish him a relaxing summer and prosperous future career, as my team and I continue to grow and modernise Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.”
