Star Cruises inThai move


STAR Cruises is to base a ship in Bangkok for the first time from next October with a five-day sailing itinerary directly aimed at the European market.



The 700-passenger SuperStar Europe will sail from the port of Laem Chabang, which is just outside Bangkok, to Ho Chi Minh City and the island of Son and Phu Quoc in Vietnam, and to the Thai island of Koh Samui before returning to Bangkok.



Star Cruises director of sales for Europe Michael Dupont said he was negotiating with all the major UK tour operators with a view to them selling the cruises from next year.
