Limitless Travel is to focus on supporting a muscular dystrophy charity with 10 fund raising efforts to mark the accessible operator’s tenth anniversary.
The plan was disclosed as the disabled-friendly travel specialist revealed record January sales of £1.2 million and new sales team members and carers joining the 80 strong company.
The 10 fundraising events aim to raise £10,000 for the Coventry-based Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre.
The different events will involve all staff, including a skydive, half marathons in Birmingham and London, Birmingham 10k, 10 days of 10k runs, a team ascent of Snowdon, a 100km office-based cycle, a 130km swim, A ‘Great Limitless Bake Sale’ and a virtual walking challenge.
The charitable efforts come as the operator added new trips this year including Christmas in the Caribbean; Cunard and Princess cruises; Canterbury and the Kent coast; festive Snowdonia; Snowdonia, Llandudno and North Wales; and South Wales and Carmarthen.
Limitless Travel founder and chief executive Angus Drummond, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of 22, said: “2025 is set to be a really exciting year for us here at Limitless Travel. Our birthday celebrations are set to be a team effort and are planned to last all year long involving the entire company as well as many of our families.
“Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre is a cause very close to my own heart and is a fantastic charity in terms of the support and information it provides, I’m delighted that we’re able to support them with this.
“We’ve already got off to a fantastic start in January with our best ever month of sales, our longer haul trips with flights have been oversubscribed indicating that the disabled community is now keener to travel than ever before.”
