GBTA called on to nominate candidates for working party

MEMBERS of the Guild of Business Travel Agents are being encouraged to nominate suitable candidates to join a working party to discuss the future of business travel.

Plans to set up the group, called the Future Leaders Group, were announced at the GBTA’s conference in Lucerne (Travel Weekly May 31).

Travel Centre Norwich managing director Rachel Crampton, who is setting up the group, is in the process of writing to members to ask them to come up with names of up-and-coming employees in their agencies who would be suitable to sit on the panel.

Crampton said:”Initially I would like the panel to consist of three suppliers, three agents and three clients, although I expect it will grow. I am asking members of the GBTAto recommend their agent representatives and to recommend some clients. I will also be sending out letters to clients.”

Panel members will be appointed in the next few weeks and the first meeting will be set up in August or September, saidCrampton.
