Sandals will open its first high street shop in Kensington, London.
The Luxury Travel Store will become the first stand-alone high street outlet in the UK for an overseas hotel brand.
The 5,000 sq ft shop will open in March and include a “range of educational and sensory experiences” designed to “evoke consumers’ imaginations”.
The store has been designed by retail specialists Wanda and will cost around £1 million.
A research area with flat screen TVs showing video footage, a dedicated ‘wedding lounge’ and a family zone will feature, as well as a dedicated tour desk and a bar serving wine and spirits for customers.
The all-inclusive specialist said the store will also host training and networking events.
Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Gordon “Butch” Stewart said: “The UK market is extremely important to us and our decision to open Sandals Resorts’ first ever global high street store in the heart of London is a testament to this.
“As always, our valued trade partners have been considered in this development as the immersive and educational nature of The Luxury Travel Store will allow agents selling Sandals and Beaches to have a greater understanding of Sandals’ gold standard product offering and the types of holiday experiences available to their clients.”
