Thomas Cook has cancelled its entire summer programme to Sharm el-Sheikh.

The operator said the decision had been made in light of there being no change to Foreign & Commonwealth Office advice.

Previously Thomas Cook had cancelled its programme up until May 25, but the firm today confirmed its programme to Sharm el-Sheikh would be cancelled up to and including Monday, October 31.

Customers due to travel up to and including October 31 can cancel or amend their holiday to another destination free of charge.

Customers who wish to rebook an alternative summer 2016 holiday are being offered free amendments to anotherThomas Cook holiday, but will have to pay the difference in price.

The operator is contacting customers whose bookings are affected, prioritising those who are due to travel soon.
