Copenhagen, Berlin (pictured) and New York have emerged as the top three May bank holiday weekend destinations booked from the UK through low-cost carrier Norwegian.
Berlin takes top slot in bookings via the airline’s Norwegian Holidays arm followed by Copenhagen and New York.
The airline serves more than 40 destinations from Gatwick, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester.
Chief commercial officer, Thomas Ramdahl, said: “Brits are saving time and money on their next holiday by booking affordable package deals with Norwegian.
“City breaks are continuing to be popular and with our low fares, we’re making it easier to access Europe and the US for a long weekend getaway.
“Norwegian has more than 45,000 seats from the UK direct to a range of popular destinations over the May bank holiday, including Pula, Boston and our newest destination Crete.”
New direct flights from Gatwick to Oakland-San Francisco start on May 12, the airline’s seventh low-cost route to the US with fares leading in at £149 one-way.
