The group behind Mexico’s Xcaret adventure parks is set to open a luxury hotel next winter.
Hotel Xcaret in Riviera Maya will be the first property from Experiencias Xcaret and will open on December 1, 2017.
During World Travel Market, the management team behind the property is meeting with tour operators such as Kuoni and Carrier.
Until now Experiencias Xcaret has only operated attractions, however the group has been planning its first hotel for the past nine years. The cost of the new build has not been disclosed.
The all-inclusive property will offer five different types of accommodation, depending on the experience the guest wants.
Casa Fuago (meaning House of Fire) will be adults-only with secluded areas and gourmet dining options. Casa Espiral (House of the Spirit) will have suites offering jungle and river views, while Casa Agua (House of Water) will give guests direct access to the spa and well being programme.
Casa Tierra (House of Land) will offer a family focused programme based on experiences with the surrounding nature.
Cases Viento (House of Wind), also dedicated to families, will have a watermark for children.
Raul Petraglia, director of hotels division, said the resort would “redefine and refine the all inclusive experience”.
“Because we operate the parks took were able to offer something very different,” he claimed.”
Petraglia said fam trips were planned during a soft launch period ahead of a December 1 opening.
