South African Airways has named June McCann as airport manager at Heathrow Airport. She has been with SAA Airways for 17 years, working in reservations and sales. Her most recent position was as assistant cargo manager.
Linda Merrills has joined Gold Medal Travel in the new position of marketing executive. Her responsibilities will include managing trade advertising campaigns and shows, agent mailings and promotions.
Lufthansa has announced two new appointments to its leisure sales division. Becky Pitt has joined as key account manager – leisure UKand Ireland, and Paula Andrews has been appointed as business development consultant – leisure.
DFDS Scandinavian Seaways has appointed Matthew Eastlake as its UK sales and marketing manager. He will have responsibility for the growth of the UK business and development of the DFDS Seaways brand following the company’s decision to rebrand as DFDS Seaways from the end of 1999. The ferry operator has also appointed Vanessa Markey to the position of strategic marketing manager. She joins from US publisher Primedia where she held the position of marketing manager.
