HUNGARY is targeting a 10% increase in UK visitors to 275,000 with the launch of British Midland’s daily Heathrow-Budapest service on May 28.
Hungarian National Tourist Office UK director Gabor Tarr said:”We’re very optimistic that with the extra capacity and current popularity of Budapest we’ll reach that figure.
“Our year-long gastronomy and wine promotion has helped to increase awareness of what Hungary really has to offer,” he added, stating that last year’s visitors arrivals rose by 12%.
