COSMOS has launched the first of its new-look brochures as it aims to rid itself of its staid image.
The operator has released its year-round Florida and Tropical Paradise brochures with a new range of product and a revamped front cover.
Product director Danny Talbot said: “Cosmos is known as solid and reliable but we want to show that does not mean boring and unimaginative.
“There have been many changes at Cosmos over the last three months and the result is a fresher image. We want to wake up the trade and consumer.
“I think in recent times we have not invested in brochure design and become a little lazy.”
In Florida, Cosmos is looking to win back market share it has lost in the past two years and is pushing for a 20% increase in carryings. Talbot declined to reveal specific numbers.
It has introduced a page outlining what’s new in the destination to entice families back to Florida.
“We reduced capacity slightly to keep the programme profitable but believe there are now opportunities to increase business,” said Talbot. “There are new resorts and parks in Florida and families who may have gone in the mid-1990s could now be tempted back.”
Early offers include ú200 off per couple for summer 2000 bookings made before August 31. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has been added along with private villas with pools in the Gulf resorts of Port Charlotte and the Newport Richey area.
Florida prices lead in at ú495 for 14 nights at the Hampton Hill in International Drive. The Tropical Paradise brochure features the new Cuban resort of Jibacoa and the Red Sea resort of Hurghada along with the Gambia where prices start at ú329 for seven nights at the Holiday Beach Club.
