VISA is the preferred choice for payment of travel and entertainment by international travellers, according to independent research by economic analysts.
A survey by Wharton Economic Forecasting Associates showed travellers now use their Visa card for 38% of global travel and entertainment spending, which is seven percentage points ahead of the closest rival American Express.
The findings were based on an analysis of information received from government agencies, industry trade associations and private sources.
