n Hertz extends in-car computerized mapping
Hertz has announced the continued roll-out of its computerized drivingdirections to 49 US airport locations with more than 20 additional US airports expected to receive thesystem by the end of 1999. The system gives the driver point-to-point directions to virtually any street address. An updated version of the system is currently being installed in Hertz cars in the UK. The company is also giving Qualiflyer cardholders travelling in Europe four days rental for the price of two up until May 31. Rentals must be booked with 24 hours’ notice and include a Saturday night.
n spring mini-cruises launch from P&ONSF
P&O North Sea Ferries has released a spring programme of mini-cruises to mainland Europe.Destinations include Amsterdam at ú39 person, Bruges at ú31, and Rotterdam at ú33. The prices, valid until April 30, include two nights on a cruise ferry, free car parking at Hull and coach transfers.
