GATWICK-based Transbrasil has suspended UK services following the economic crisis in Brazil and increased competition on routes. The airline’s twice weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro, which connected with Sao Paulo, stopped last week.
Last year, the carrier tried to be more competitive by switching Gatwick services to the two cities from Salvador and Recife in northeast Brazil.
