n MASSOT PROMOTED



TO GROUP DIRECTOR



Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has promoted Paul Massot to group director of sales as part of a reorganisation. Massot is currently area director of sales and marketing Asia Pacific, responsible for sales offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney. He will take over the management of the group’s sales offices worldwide.



n Brampton island to become all-inclusive



P&OAustralian Resorts has announced that Brampton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, is moving to an all-inclusive tariff from April 1. The new tariff includes buffet breakfast, lunch, a la carte dinner and non-motorised water sports. All-inclusive rates start from around ú69 per person per night.



n leading hotels signs BRUSSELS conrad



The five-star ConradInternational Brussels has become a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It is the secondConrad International to be accepted into the group. The Conrad International Barcelona – Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I – has been amember since 1992.



n hilton takes over



La jolla sheraton



HiltonHotels Corporation has acquired the394-room resort hotel, the Sheraton Grande Torrey Pines in La Jolla,California, $82.5m. The property was owned by Torrey Pines HotelAssociates and will be renamed the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.



n GRAND HYATT amman offers special rate



Hyatt International isoffering an introductory rate of around ú57 for a single and ú66 for adouble room at the Grand Hyatt Amman until the end of February, subject to availability.
