GLOBALalliance FirstTravel Management International has appointed a new managing director after relocating its head office to Hanover.
Brian Donnelly replaces Martin Metzler, who resigned from the group just before Christmas but continues to work for First on a freelance consultancy basis.
Metzler decided to step down because he did not want to relocate from the alliance’s former international headquarters in Dusseldorf to Hanover, which is the home of First’s German partner First Business Travel International.
First Business Travel International is currently merging with the largest Germany agency Hapag Lloyd but the move has been delayed due to an investigation by the Germany Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
